BERKSHIRE AUTOMOBILE
CLUB
The 29th Annual General Meeting was held at No 1 Friar
Street, Reading at 12:15 on Saturday May 5th, 1934.
1.Present Major Portal (in the Chair), Mr S à Court, Dr
W.B.Secretan, Miss Noble, Mrs Loder Symonds, ?? Blandy and Hon Sec.
2. The secretary read the notice calling the meeting. The minutes were
read confirmed and signed.
3. Proposed b y Dr Secretan seconded by W.S.L Blandy that the accounts
be passed. Carried.
4. The Chairman proposed and Miss Noble seconded that Mr W.S.E. Blandy
be appointed the Solicitor to the Club. A vote of thanks was given for
the room allotted for the Meeting.
5. The following were to be asked if they were willing to join the
Commmittee (2 in number). Sir F.MacClean, Brig.Gen. Yatman (Hon
Auditor), Sir A Lowry Vice Marquis of Downshire & Lt Col. Ovey.
6. After some discussion it was proposed to hold a driving Test, the
arrangement being left to the Hon. Secretary.
7. The Chair left the Chair. Dr Secretan taking his place Mr S à
court proposed Mr Loder Symonds seconded that Major Portal be
re-elected Chairman. Carried unanimously.
