BERKSHIRE AUTOMOBILE
CLUB
The 25th Annual General Meeting was held on May 10th,
1930 at 12 noon at the Great Western Hotel, Reading.
Present; Major Portal in the Chair. Messrs Llewellyn, à Court,
Dr. Secretan, Miss Noble, Miss Wallis, Mr Hodgkin - Hon. Secretary.
2. Regrets for non-attendance were received from Maj. Gen. Sir W.Caley,
Mr R.W.Handley, Sir Arthur Grifffith Boscawen.
3. A letter from the President Lt. Col. Sir Leslie Wilson was read
congratulating theh Club on their successful year, the accounts showing
a Ov Bal of £37.2.9 which he considered highly satisfactory.
Proposed by Mr Llewellyn, seoncdd by Mr Hodgkin that the accounts be
passed. Carried unanimously.
4. Proposed by Mr Hodgkin seconded by Miss Wallis that the committee be
re-elected en bloc. Carried unanimously.
5. Rule 17 was amended to read "The Annual Subscription for Ladies and
Gentlemen shall be one guinea with an Engrance fee of one guinea,
ladies elected prior to the 1st June 1924 shall continue to pay half a
guinea, and no entrance fee shall be payable by any lady whose Husband
or Father is a Member."
6. Proposed by Lt. Col. Orr seconded by Mr à Court that the
original members of the Club who are still members, be elected Hon Life
Members. Carried unanimously, they are Lord Farringdon, S.E.Garcke, Dr.
Paterson, H. Peters, Major Portal.
7. Proposed by Dr. Secretan seconed by Mr Llewellyn that the former Hon
Secretaries Mr S. à Court, Miss Noble also be elcted Hon. Life
Members. Carried unanimously.
8. Mr Llewellyn porposed a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
