What is the BAC?
The
Berkshire Automobile Club is one of the oldest existing motoring
organisations in the United Kingdom. Originally founded at the Great
Western Hotel in Reading in 1903 it remains active to this day, its
membership now composed of the descendents of the original founding
members. For further information about the history of the BAC, select
the
'about us' link above. This contains photographs and transcripts of the
minutes of past club meetings.
This site is
very much
intended to be dynamic, with further content,
pictures and historical notes to come. Those with an interest in the
history
of British motoring might like to visit the site from time to time for
further
updates. For related sites concerned with motoring, click here.
